Meaning of やせまそった

If possible, please kindly help me with meaning of やせまそった in the sentence below:

きが つくと そばに やせまそった からだで やめさまが すわって おった。

I assumed that やせまそった is conjugation of やせる ＋ そう, but I am not sure since there is ま syllable.

Below is my, more likely wrong translation:

When he regained consciousness, his wife was sitting beside to him, and her body seemed slim.

I think that's a typo for やせほそった。

It doesn't mean just slim but very, very thin (most likely from illness or starvation).

やせる： to become thin (meaning to lose weight)
やせほそる： to become excessively thin
