Personally I think spelling and grammar are both important, although anyone can and will make typing mistakes. However consistently mis-spelling words such as grammAr really does irk after seeing it the first few times.

You know, just to poke my nose in this thread for a moment I want to point out the best way to learn a language is to absorb yourself in the culture, if you can. To see how it's truly spoken. Not that TV, movies, and music are bad. 
GCL, if you ever take a trip to Japan I advise you to go shopping and everything, ask directions, talk to people and all that stuff.
Because in my opinion, textbooks and things like that are just to help you break the ice of the langauge.

Yes, I'd love to go to jaapn. Unfortunately, its very expensive. i also want to bring my whole family = more expensive. + spending money, even more expensive
Damn it, why is japanese SO HARD and english SO EASY??

Some people pick up languages easier than others, and everyone learns in different ways.. But I hope you will make more progress when you get a book.

To a Westerner Eastern languages are the hardest to learn and to Easterners Western languages are the hardest to learn. That's just how it works. The languages are polar opposites and therefore don't play well together.

Btw, this is probably why:
Japanese uses a totally different subject matter. There are no male/female nouns, you can make one person everybody, by adding a simple suffix, etc. Also, it goes Subject object verb. "ﾅｽ窶樞?堙恒SP窶堙ｰﾅｽﾂ昶?堙≫?堙??堋｢窶堙懌?堋ｷﾂ。"
Subject is me (Why isn't the Subject the PSp though?), object is PSP, followed ty the object marker wo, and then the verb, teimasu.
Also, I heard japanese can't say french fry. Hilarious

You must ONLY be referring to the lack of roman characters, because if you go on straight grammar, English is pretty f--ked up. As a friend of mine once said, "this language has more exceptions than rules." And both languages have native speakers who still can't get it right.
I don't get why this is funny. There's a ton of English words they can't pronounce without an accent (like "the"), and a ton of foreigners who can't pronounce Japanese without an accent.

Japanese can make it ﾆ稚ﾆ椎槌停?愴蛋ﾆ稚ﾆ停?ｰﾆ辰 which is pretty damn close ... but so if it weren't ? ☝ ? There are a very small number of possible sound combinations in the language. If you've ever actually heard it spoken you know this doesn't mean it isn't beautiful and still worth learning just that the number of words spelled the same or very close is huge.
Since the combination of ﾆ稚 and ﾆ停?ｰﾆ辰 is a strain vocally, ﾆ稚ﾆ停?ｰﾆ辰ﾆ檀ﾆ竹ﾆ弾ﾆ暖 or ﾆ竹ﾆ弾ﾆ暖ﾆ稚ﾆ停?ｰﾆ辰ﾆ檀 are more common.
