Hello,

I would like to know the meaning of 加奈陀製 . Is it "made in Canada" in Kanji? Thanks for all the replies.

br,
Miika

That's correct. Usually, "Canada" is spelt in katakana (カナダ). Your example uses ateji.

It is extremely unusual though. When you study Japanese, you soon come across the most common ateji- America, China, Korea, the UK, France and Germany and less commonly Australia, Italy and Russia. I hadn't seen any of the others in the list despite living in Japan for a long time.
