I remember a Japanese gal checking me out and giving me "the eye" at a McDonalds in Tokyo two years ago. I gave he a "Roger Moore" smile and a nod. As she left the McDonalds, she turned and smiled again. Sure does wonders for one's ego!

I think I mentioned that I believe I am not a good 007 yet. Failed already at following someone ... Not even sure, if I reacted properly, because I felt so cheered up by here happy eyes looking in my direction, that I shyly smiled and moved head and then looking back.

But yes, simple eye contact (not only checking someone out, realling interested view exchange) and reading in them can often tell more than a book has characters.

Maybe It's For The Best

Maybe it was the woman I married finder!

I met a Japanese woman on the train way back when; she was a professional model and beautiful beyond any man's dream with a body to die for! In addition she was rich and bought me anything I desired including clothes and a car. I had the same feelings as you and thought, "this is the woman for me".

Unfortunately, for me, she turned out to be the Women From Hell and made my life miserable for two years due to her insecurities until I finally broke it off. Honestly, my life was a living hell with her.

Maybe things worked out for the best Finder, like they did me, and that the woman of your dreams may be found when you least expect it, like in a McDonalds (actually where I met my wife) when you are unshaven, hair mussed, and not even thinking about meeeting a woman. We have been together for 26 years now and married for 22 years. Love will come when you least expect it!

I truly thank you Pachipro for your so true text. This is what my mind says, what I think I should face and see, that things just turn out as they should be.

But in the "land of might have been" I try to fill the gap and ask, what should I do, what I am asked to do and how far to go to set course for future. Where is the balance between fixed destiny and self controlled future?

I once experienced a similiar situation like you (maybe not that far) with a friend, which also was so in love to a woman, that he could not see the truth lying behind. His illusion went on for a long time and nearly broke him, when it ended.

I honestly sign your paragraph, that when you least except it, things will arise you cannot force with pressure.

I feel lucky that you finally found through your hell the love you have been looking for.

To combine my heart and my mind, I think it will be the best to work on and enjoy my study life in Tôkyô. Next week beginning Monday I may take same train as I am used to and see what things will bring.

Again my sincerest thanks to all of you in the meantime.

You may have something there finder as it was a spring Sunday afternoon at a McDonalds at a train station in Japan that I met her.

She only sat at my table because it was the only one that was not crowded as, how many Japanese want to sit with a gaijin who is not even shaven, hair mussed and was just going to buy cat food and decided that he was hungry?

I was nervous, to be sure, that such a good looking woman even asked in broken English if she could sit with me. We had a little small conversation and I walked her to the train station as she was going to work (arubaito) that day. I debated on asking for her phone number and just before she was to go through the ticket taker I shyly asked her if I could see her again. She quickly wrote her phone number down and the rest is history. Luckily she lived within a 10 minute walk from my apartment!

Like the others have mentioned above, and I can vouch for, true love will sometimes come when you least expect it and when you are NOT looking for it!

In the near future I will post a story of what I call "Odawara Girl" who could've been my wife so easily, was truly in love with me, but things never panned out for some reason that, even today I cannot explain. Perhaps it was not ment to be. I don't know. But I do know that the man that eventually married her, whoever he may be, is one lucky guy.

Sorry for the late answer, but I needed some sleep here.

Sounds like a real love story Pachipro. I envy you a little bit (no totally), but I am truly happy for you that things turned out so well.

It nearly sounds so unbelivable, because when you think, what little coincides and happenings brought you together at this particular time and place and not being somewhere else. The famous questions of might have been and if not ... maybe if you just decided to walk to Wendy's or bought the cat food later/earlier this day, what will be today. What if McDonald's would not have been crowded or she came 15 mins later? So evenmore I believe in some kind of uncertain certainty, which means, what has already been said, the least you expect the more life will turn up something new and wonderful.

I always have been fascinated on this matter.

So regarding my story and when you turn it around, it could mean, while searching for her, I could easily reach the opposite (despite the fact that it is the search for the needle in the haystack) and being blocked from and not seeing good things around in normal life schedule.

But your story shows me again the many positive aspects and being sad is neither helpful nor the right way to enjoy life in any case.

It doesnt feel right for me to comment on this post because im a new guy, but here goes:

I think you are trying too hard to look for her. Even though it doesnt seem like it can happen, you will meet some other girl and eventually forget about this one

I have a bad habit of falling in love with beautifull girls at first sight, but when i dont see them more than once, i forget about them quite fast.

Being so focussed about one girl can also be a bad thing. One tend to become blind of all the other people that might be around you Who knows? Maybe theres a sweet girl in your university who had her eyes on you, but you didnt notice it becase you were thinking too much about the unknown girl?
