Looking for Help translating Japanese Battle Flag from WW2

Good afternoon, I am looking to find more information on a Japanese Battle flag brought back to the USA in WW2. Could be from Korea or Okinawa possibly. I have been trying to translate the flag to learn more about its history and where it may have come from. Any help is much appreciated...Thank you very much.
