Hi,
New to this forum so apologies if i've posted this in the wrong section.
Im just about to embark on my journey to Japan, provided my working holiday visa gets approved. I am coming over with a slightly different ambition to most of the threads from members I've been reading. I'm actually coming over to play ice hockey in Takamatsu, provided I make the team and intend on working and playing ice hockey in Kagawa for just the season as my Visa is only 6 months.
I've tried to search for some information on living in Takamatsu but haven't been able to find much in english and there doesn't seem to be any jobs... Is this because it is really isolated?
My question is: Has anyone on here lived in Takamatsu and are they able to give me a bit of insight on what to expect? Cost of living? jobs? (i have no experience as a teacher)? Foreigners communities?
I'm assuming I'll get a job teaching english part time as that's what my coach has advised. But I'd really like to know how much Im going to need to live until I get a job? I feel like Kagawa isnt a popular place, even for Japanese
... so any information would be helpful.
