Hello everyone,

My name is Scott.I am 45 years old and now find myself to be more and more interested in Japanese culture day by day.I hope to some day visit Japan.I Have started to study Japanese since Febuary.I want to have at least good basic vocabulary skills before I plan a visit.I have several Japanese penpals and over the past few months have become very good friends.

I am a private pilot and own a small plane. It's a Cessna 152 and seats only two people.I would be interested in hearing from pilots from Japanr.
I like to play guitar for relaxation.I like to play fast loud and hard rock.It keeps my blood flowing and gives me great sence of energy.

If anyone has any tips on beginners learning Japanese,I would be happy to listen.

Hi Scott ! Welcome To The Forum !!

You should find plenty of help here with Japanese. Check old posts for other sites listed there; over the past few years a lot of info has been posted. There are some real sharp people here to help you.
You're being a pilot has bought a question to my mind. I wonder if you, as a private pilot could fly to and land at a Japanese airport by going through some pre-approved plan?
Well, post often and enjoy!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Are you learning Japanese on your own? Well, anyway welcome to jref. :-)

Yes but I have the help of several Japanese penpals who help to keep me motivated. This whole forum thing is new to me and I hope to enlist the help of others here also as soon as I can figure my way around.
Thank you for your concern.
Take care.
