Request Kanji Tattoo word feedback

Hi have been looking to get a tattoo done in Japanese (kanji) for long time due to my love towards overall Japanese way of life. I wanted to do something related to family and found some ideas which I wanted to make sure is right?

I have attached a image which was supposedly means "My Family My life"

Is it correct?

Will much appreciate any help on this.

家族第一 but to my ears it sounds a bit cringe.

You could just do 家族は命 to keep it short if you wanted. It would make sense to Japanese. We used to say things such as ビールは命 (beer is life).

I have attached a image which was supposedly means "My Family My life"

I would say it says "My family is my life". What is written is very clear and probably the exact message you want to convey.....a personal statement.

But shortening it to "Family is life" opens it up to interpretation a bit...where it sounds more like a slogan for others than a personal sentiment.

But also the shorter version will be less painful!

It can be written either way (actually the text you pasted also has it connected on my screen).

It's a continuous brush movement which is sometimes shown as a single brush stroke, but in calligraphy the brush may lift off the paper causing the "gap" you observed
