This has probably been done many times before, but never mind. I want to know a couple of words in kanji form, we have been learning kanji in my lessons but I want to learn more.

Please could someone translate the following:
saru(monkey)
sakana(fish)
furansu(france)
doitsu(germany)
inu(dog)
neko(cat)
tanaka(surname)
takashi(surname)
takeshi(surname)
Cant think of any more at the mo...

The other thing I was wondering was if there are kanji for any slang words, here is a list:
kisama(you-speeker hates)
shine(die)
ore(I)
onare(you)
baka(stupid, should not really be in this section)
kuso(****)
shimatta(damn it)
chikushou(Damn)

Cant think of any others, but feel free to add to that list. Slang and rude words are always good to know, especially for miike films!

猿(saru) - Monkey
魚(sakana) - Fish
フランス or 仏蘭西(furansu) - France
ドイツ or 独逸(doitsu) - Germany
犬(inu) - Dog
猫(neko) - Cat
田中(tanaka)

No idea which ones are the most common ones for the 2 below...
takashi(surname)
takeshi(surname)

貴様(kisama) - You! Why, you...! (in a hateful manner) or Bastard!
死ね(shine) - Die!
俺(ore) - Me; I
己(onore) - You. Oneself.
馬鹿(baka) - idiot; fool; stupid (literally means horse deer...)
糞(kuso) Sh**! Crap! (literally means feces, poop, whatever...)
しまった(shimatta) Shoot! Crap! Dammit! ...etc. No kanji for this.
畜生(chikushou) Damn you...! or Imbecile, etc.

Those aren't really slang... I don't think.

I wouldn't worry about the insult words
like baka usually it will be written in katakana to stress it's slang usage. From most manga I have read that has been the case.

If you have the Japanese IME installed on your computer, it's sometimes useful for finding kanji versions of words. I tried typing tanaka, and it even does that correctly (田中). Won't be too helpful for words which have multiple meanings, but at least for simple words like 猫 （ねこ） or 犬 （いぬ）, it should be pretty accurate.

Yeah I have that installed and I know all the kana, but I dont really trust it for finding out kanji because of what you said. Oh yeah does anyone know of a linke to a list of the 200 kanji you have to learn for GCSE, I have got a book but I not sure it does it in the correct order and its almost imposible to look up words!

Takashi and Takeshi aren't surnames.

Do yourself a favor and leave the anime/manga bada55 vocabulary for later.

Was that directed towards me? I am not suggesting they learn those types of words. I don't think it has any usage just learning for the first time, so that's why I suggested they not even worry about learning the kanji.
