There has been, since last summer I think, a growing interest in K-Pop in Japan. Groups like Brown Eyed Girls, Kara, and Girls Generations have made a big impact in the music scene hear. Just to understand why, take a look at this

K-Pop looks a lot like J-Pop but with more of an American style assertiveness. In order to succeed in Japan, all or most of the performers are proficient in Japanese like Boa, the pioneer K-Pop star to first break into the Japanese pop scene.
