Hi all, just arrive Hiroshima 4 days ago and found this forum just a min ago. I'm a Canadian but born in HK. I've been living in Vancouver for more than 8 years and now decide to try a new place. I like Japan since I was young now I finally have a chance to come and try to live here ! 窶堙ｦ窶堙ｫ窶堋ｵ窶堋ｭ

Welcome to Jref and Japan. I myself am also new to Japan ( only 3 months).

I have been to Hiroshima a couple of weeks ago, and find the place very enjoyable place, although I don't know if it is a really place to life there for a longer time. The people are great though, and the atmosphere as well.

Can I ask what you are doing in Japan?

I have never been down that far south, so can't really know. . . if you ever come up this way (Nagano), please let me know and you are welcome to stop by--we can have a nice BBQ if it's not winter...

Thanks alot ! This time I come to Japan just to look around but in Nov I will get my working holiday visa and will start to look for jobs in Hiroshima. And ya if I have a time to go to Nagano for sure I will drop by since now I dont have any frds in here ..... wanna make some new frds !!

Ok !! Sounds great !! Oh this area is where the '98 Winter Olympics were held, so, if you're in to skiing. . . of course they have the rental shops at every slope, just about, so even if you don't have the gear.

I myself am not into skiing so much--just simply no good at it. (having grown up in Alabama, where it seldom snows and there are no slopes, and then having moved to Arizona after highschool--where there is even less snow....

I live a bout a 3 hour buss ride from Hiroshima myself and have gotten down there a few times. Hiroshima is a great city! you're going to love it.
