JRef party in the U.S.?

So, I've been seriously thinking about a JRef party here, in the U.S. Many of our members are from the U.S., so I think it'd be really nice to have one here.

I hope he doesn't mind me announcing this, but Frank and I are supposed to meet in Washington, D.C. Spring/Summer '05. Maybe it's really wishful thinking, but I would really love it if more forum members could join us. We're not really set on any details yet(we don't even have a month set aside), but I'd like to get an idea of who would be interested, if anyone at all. Also, if anyone is interested, I'd like to get some ideas on dates and times, what kind of stuff we'd like to do, where to go, etc.

I would definetly wanna go to a Jref party in the U.S....but I don't think I can get to Washington D.C....maybe u guys shouls consider meeting up at an anime con...like MegaCon here in Orlando...that would so be awesome...I think MegaCon is probably the biggest anime con in the U.S...do u thnk u guys could consider this option??

It sounds like a great idea to me. I could certainly attend a gathering in the DC area, and could probably also make it as far north as NYC (or anywhere else roughly equidistant from DC).

I think it's a great idea, but for me, getting to Washington, D.C. is just as difficult as getting to Japan.

Ironically, I've been to both D.C. (the OTHER Washington) and Japan twice (but spent much more time in Japan).

there are cons all over the place...the ones this year are in miami...megacon is next year around March..u should do a search for megacon 05 and a site for it should come up telling u the info...^^

I'd really like to meet some of you. . I highly doubt I would be able to because of transportation and consent.

then again..we can go along with the idea of kirei, frank and jeis picking me up from my house. kirei will be the fourteen year old (according to frank) chaperone . then it's all about the road trip to D.C!

Why dont you guys who cant make it overseas, organize gatherings yourself for the people in your geographical area?

It beats complaining to the few that are taking initiative to start one of their own that where they are starting it is too far.

i'm not complaining just joking, when something like this would be in belgium, i wouldnt be able to go either. i'm totally dependent of my parents for transportation.
