So I am learning the N5 kanji, I'm pretty good with them so now I am learning N5 vocab - but all the resources I find (Anki decks, websites, etc.) all have vocabulary words that use kanji that aren't in the 103 kanji that are on the N5, am I missing something? Or will the test have the vocab words on it but will only use kanji that are in the 103? Such that the kanji for vocab words that aren't in the 103 won't be tested, but the word in kana will?
For example, 'friend' would be written in kanji because it is in the 103, but 'red' would be written in hiragana since it is not in the 103?
This is the vocab sheet that spurs my question: http://www.tanos.co.uk/jlpt/jlpt5/vocab/VocabList.N5.pdf .
Thanks!
