The story is set in the 15th-century Kingdom of P. Rafau, a prodigy granted early admission to university, declares he will major in theology—the most prestigious field of study at the time—to meet the expectations placed upon him. However, he is unable to abandon his passion for astronomy, which he had pursued with devotion. One day, Rafau encounters a mysterious scholar named Hubert, who had been imprisoned and tortured for engaging in forbidden research based on heretical ideas. What Hubert was studying was a shocking "hypothesis" about the universe.
