Japanese name for my son

I need help coming up with a Japanese name for my son that will be born in two months. He is half Japanese, but his mom's family has been in America for four generations and aren't native speakers. We named his older brother Kaito (海斗) which we love but are having trouble coming up with a name for this one. I really like the meaning of the name Ozora (大空) -- "big sky" as I understand it (My family is from Montana, it's the state motto) but honestly I don't really like the way it sounds. Are there other readings of that Kanji? Or other names/Kanji that have a similar meaning? Thanks!

愛子 (あいこ or Aiko）means 'Beloved Dear Child' literally 'Love Child'. I believe it is either unisex and/or the male version of '愛' (Ai).

That would be a girl's name.

Just my opinion, I think for kids it would be nice to have a name that can be used everywhere, or at least in either Japan and the states. We named our son Reo 怜朗. Kai, Neo, Tomoharu (Tomo, Tom), Sena (which can be used for boys and girls), kenji (ken... not the most original name but when you think about street fighter it's still a cool name), aki (pretty Japanese, but short so easy to say), Noa (Noah), Reon, Rui, Dan

Of course they're American. Who said they weren't? The point is, they or I don't speak much Japanese so I need help with some of the kanji readings, which is why I was posting on the forum. Was that not clear?

Taikū/Daikū is another reading for 大空. It sounds like a priest name, though.

Another translation for sky is 蒼天[sōten], 蒼空[sōkū] or 蒼穹[sōkyū]. Hmm, it doesn't seems like a Japanese name...

More of a girl's name based on the few times I came across "Sora" as a first name. To be honest however, my knowledge of Japanese first names is too limited at this time to give my own advice about it.

There can be exceptions, but generally 空 (Sora) is boy's name.
(It also depends on the kanji one uses for "Sora")
