To me, Beyonce's songs get old fast. I can hear them a couple of times, and I'm sick of them. Like the "Naughty Girl" song. I heard it twice and I was done.

<lol!> like i said, beyonce's singing leaves much to be desired, i liked destiny's child much better. i don't think britney is ugly by any means, but personally i prefer beyonce, just going by looks. but then again, that's just my opinion!

Beyonce Knowles won best females singer in this year's Grammy Awards. I think she can be very beautiful sometimes, especially in the 'Crazy in Love' video. I prefer Kelly Rowland though because she acts more naturally and is more comfortable to look at.

I also like Mandy Moore and Britney Spears, but I think Gwen Staffani of No Doubt is the most stylish.

Yeah, the key there is mass refusal. I don't buy, watch, endorse, support, etc. anything like the retarded reality TV shows or "American Idol" or anything like that. But I'm in the minority. Just because I think it's crap doesn't mean everyone esle will too. In fact my own sister watches "American Idol," "Elimidate," "The Bachelor," etc. and it drives me crazy. So I don't accept any responsibility for the success of Britney Spears or any of those shows, because I have absolutely nothing to do with their success.

pop idols suck

what I mean by 'idols' are those people with pretty faces and nice body [product of surgeries or not],who can't sing,and sings crappy songs with bad melodies and arrangement,and the lyrics are all about love and sex

some people say rock music is bad influence,well,some,that is if you listen to stuff like Marilyn Manson,Korn,there are lots of good rock music like Joe Satriani,Steve Vai...
I'd say idol pop music is even more bad influence
people who listens to rock would practice on some instruments and have some goals in their lives,like becoming musician
some people who listens to idol pop would just think about getting a guy/girl,and try to 'score'

Britney,Beyonce,N'Sync,Backstreet Boys,etc..,and those commerciazlized rappers,they all suck,thats why the sales numbers dropping,don't blame the mp3s
I don't even want their CDs even if someone gives to me for free,
many fans of those pop idols don't care about sound qualities and have no respect for music,so they'd rather download mp3s and not buy the CDs,
people who really loves music would use the mp3s to try the songs and would spend money on CDs.

the idols are ruining the whole music industry worldwide
many good musicians just don't get recognized while these idols are selling millions of copies and making million of dollars

Yeah, most of today's pop stars and the music they play is less than stellar. From booty shaking bubbleheads like Britney, Christina and Beyonce, the recently dead and buried boy band craze (in my mind, the ONLY boy band worthy of the title were those four lads from Liverpool!) to the legions of foul mouthed rappers, today's music is definitely sad and pitiful, And "American Idol" definitely isn't helping things any.

The only music I listen to on the radio these days are Oldies stations, playing the truly great stuff from the 50's through the early 80's. Everything else after that is pure crapola that you couldn't pay me to listen to. So I guess you can count this old dude in with the minority! Glad to be part of the club!

@Flashjeff - Even through the '50s and such there was crap on the radio. A lot of the "do wap" stuff is the same thing to me as Britney or Jessica. And the only thing that I listen to on the radio is NPR. It is by far the best radio station in the country, with real news and real music. Nothing is sentimentalized or sensationalized, and it all appeals to the intellect, not to illogical emotions. It doesn't follow trends, and offers information on a wide variety of topics with the goal of informing people (imagine that) instead of trying to rile up emotions for ratings. Anyway, enough of my rant. Sorry if I took this OT, but I felt that I had to say that.
