Japanese/English Dialogue for Kids

I'm a native English speaker. My Japanese is Intermediate at best. I've been give the task at my office to teach English to some support members and their children (only one child right now). I have no problem working with the adults. Most of their English skills are decent. We spend a great deal of the class time just talking. However, for the child I'm teaching, his English is very very limited. I would like to have some form of dialogue with English and Japanese that I could go through with him. I feel this would help him learn daily conversation pieces that he can use. He already studies vocabulary and is learning really fast. But his ability to put sentences together is not very good. And if the Japanese is there, I don't have to worry so much about explaining it in English if he doesn't understand the situation. Does anyone know of a good source I can use for Japanese/English dialogue? Like a children's book with English and Japanese. Or some kind of story? I don't just want something basic like "good morning, how are you?" I want something a bit more deep and useful for a child. Thank you for your time.

Children are fast learners and will quickly surpass their parents in acquiring foreign language skills, esp. they live in an environment where nearly all speak the foreign language in question.

Teaching language to children should not be pedantic but fun. Play games children play. Sing songs (or at least play videos/tapes). My kids acquired vocabulary and sentence structure comprehension by singing along to Disney Sing-alongs and watching Disney animation films hundreds of times each (which that was what they wanted). I also read children's books at night.

Whatever the child learns to sing/recite in class will immediately be applied to practical situations and learned with light speed.

How old is he?

There are plenty of English translations about for classic Japanese fairytales - might be good to start with something he knows.
Maybe look into Total Physical Response as well.
