I am presenting this question on this website to show my appreciation and thanks to the Japanese people and car manufacturers, for providing such superior quality products, and manufacturing facilities now in the United States.

My question: I am not explicitly aware of the details of how hybrid cars work, in the operation of transitioning over from gas engine to electric drive, but could a hydraulic booster add to the extra mileage efficiency already produced?
I am suggesting what already may be produced, so bear with my ignorance on this: Could an electric hydraulic pump be added to automatic transmissions, for specifically first and second gear primary usage, wherein a battery is constantly being charged anyways, and that charged battery produces spurts of power to electric pumps after the car comes to a stop, and the accelerator is depressed?
In the ensuing initial forward motion, which is now done by electric motor- drive units as I understand it... could an electric pump force high pressure hydraulics onto the outer limits of the rotor assembly ??? of the automatic transmission to get the car up to speed, then engage the electric motors, then engage the gas engine? And at higher speeds, could this same hydraulic system supplement the gas engine, with excess electrical charge powering the same pump, driving the higher gears?
I guess all I am suggesting to add is the electric pump and high powered hydraulic jets directed at the outer limits of the auto tranny rotor, in the first few seconds of acceleration, and then later directed at the higher gear assemblies for supplemental power, all increasing the gas-mileage efficiency.
Very possibly this idea is already being incorporated, and I just don't understand present technology.
Otherwise, can anyone educate me here if it is being done already or not, or if it is a good idea or not?
Like I told people before on this website, you almost cannot find a 20 year old Honda or Nissan or Toyota anywhere... you never need to advertise, it is either passed gladly to a relative or with a "sign in the window" and it is gone.
Sadly, painfully, too many American cars at 7 years old or so... and they are hard to sell.
