I have been studying the Japanese and Chinese calligraphy in Japan under master Kajita Esshu (梶田越舟) for past 10 years. My fadscination with this remarkable art grows stronger every day, and I have decided to devote the remaining years of my life to it. If any of you is interested and would like to read, I have published possibly the most detailed information on the subject online, under the beyondcalligraphy (超書) name. It's a vast project involving few websites, as well as some calligraphers from All Japan Calligraphy Art and Literature Organisation (全日本書芸文化院). The idea behind beyondcalligraphy.com is to promote the art of calligraphy and allow those who cannot speak or read Japanese or Chinese to have a chance to understand it better.

On the blog I have started a new project called "kanji etymology". There are many pseudo-scientific publications, both online and in the bookstores, which may be misleading and cause confusion among those who learn kanji.I plan on introducing kanji in grade order, so those who prepare for the JLPT may benefit, too. My project is going to adress all 2136 of the jouyou kanji (常用漢字). Explanations are very detailed:

The blog will have information on past and future calligraphy exhibitions in Tokyo and other cities, which information is rather troublesome to obtain. If some of you feel like visiting one of the events, I recommend visiting our blog regurarly.
