What's the difference between a PX & a BX? Private exchange, (does that even mean anything in army lingo??) Base Exchange---- Now I remember looking up Base Exchange, but not writing it... d'oh.Carlson said:sorry Yukio i dont have a PX.. just a BX

I want to know how Carlson knows that Doc has a good grip...
Pachipro said:Nor has he ever signed back into this forum since he posted that. I think he must've been relieved of quite a bit of yen at the local hostess bars outside the base in Sagami-Otsuka only to leave broke and with "blue balls".
I can't imagine what else would make him feel so frustrated with the country. Especially when he lives on base and needn't leave it if he doesn't want to as it would still feel like he was back in the USA. I wish he'd sign back in and gives us a few more details.
Doc said:Well it's either being shipped to Japan, or shipped to Iraq. If I had a choice I'd pick Japan. ;-)

Doc said:I'm not talking about being killed in combat, I'm talking about the psychological effects of war and how it can be devastating for some. I would much rather kill myself than to come back all messed up psychologically from a war, and have to deal with that for the rest of my life. Sure you can learn to deal with it, but you'll never get over it. That's why I would much rather kill myself altogether rather than coming back dead psychologically.

I would put a bunch of laughing smilies on this, but you don't see them. Nice onemikecash said:You'd be well advised to eschew marriage as well.
mikecash said:To be fair, he did say "...for some..."
That's why I suggested avoiding marriage. It leaves "some" guys psychologically dead. (Probably more than combat ever has).
