Japan Photos 2022

More flowers. This time outside the British embassy on a beautiful late-summer afternoon.

Are they queuing up to sign the condolence book?

White spider lilies are pretty hard to find.

I rode past the "Dahlia House" again this morning. The fellow had moved the pots to safety earlier this week for the typhoon, but everything seemed to be back out today. This shot came out well, and tho the bloom is a little past 'prime', it still looks great. Just cropped, no other adjustments. Good (perfect) light for it--overcast--so no strong shadows/highlights to deal with.

An update--someone has taken the boots off the skis (pic above), but still left them there. Also, it turns out this place is an art studio, so maybe the ski boot garden was someone's 'installation'.

Also, a little farther down, next to the main port, one of my frequent turnaround points when out for a ride. Someone said those clouds are ひつじぐも, a sign of fall/autumn.

Have you ever visited the Karakuri Museum? Looks interesting!

@thomas I've been to (in) the museum, but it has been a really long time. Actually, there's a small park just back from that that I 'visit' now and then--it has rest rooms....
