I searched the wiki for Japanese Anarchists and this guy was on the list.
Another Sakae Osugi has an entire book written about him at our university library.

I don't think he is necessarily a person "filled with hate"
or a "self-hating Japanese".

He talks about being ruled by the "majority" and this is bad he says.
And the minority, which he is a part of, being ruled by the majority.
Does he mean minority groups like Ainu, Okinawans, Koreans...etc..?
Or minority merely in respect to the majority; in the abstract sense.
Maybe believing it immoral for some to force their rule onto others?

He means the minority of people that agree with him that the nation is beyond repair and simply needs to be demolished and built back up again. He's already been jailed before for sedition.

Last night my flat mate told me he used babelfish on the Japanese wikipedia page on the guy and it spat out that he was a fascist.
US, English wiki claims he is an anarchist.
How does that happen?
Fascists and anarchists are like polar opposites.
The first, the state is all, everything. Anarchists on the other hand, tend to oppose the state as "illegitimate authority".

I don't agree with everything anyone who calls themselves an "anarchist" says or does. But they are an interesting lot. And usually overlooked by official history books despite often contributing greatly to a better world (looking back with historical hindsight).
History shows anarchists are often condemned merely because of their political beliefs. Stateside, Emma Goldman and Sacco & Venzetti come to mind.

So for example, is a conviction of sedition for having written or spoken the opinion that "the existence of the state or government is a bad thing" ?

Some governments (and I'm not saying Japan does this) consider merely "opposing its existence" to be seditious. Which, if these governments claim to be protecting freedom, which includes freedom of thought & opinion, is quite the opposite.

I think whoever put the article up, used some idiot site like babelfish. Don't rely on computer translations when it comes to Japanese language.

What? Wikipedia? But it's the internet. It's gotta be true.
I know, I know...I've done experiments of my own with babel fish.
Such as trying to put the translation back into the program and

I just figured he meant the voting minority, i.e. only the people who have enough common agreement to win an election have any say in how the country is run, and everyone else gets shafted. My friend once said, "To people with unpopular ideas, a democracy is no different from a dictatorship."

But this guy does seem like a bit of a nut. Why is he screaming into the camera?
