Hello (marhaba, any Arabs here?)
When I applied for MEXT scholarship I thought all programs are conducted in English for MEXT students but I found out that all MEXT students study in Japanese =/ I was granted the scholarship
My major is not technical. My Japanese should be as good as possible. Otherwise I will not pass the entrance examination.
I have a question about this 6 month course in Japanese. Do you think it's enough?
If that's not enough to survive in my non-technical major, let me add that I already speak basic Japanese and I know around 500 kanji. I'm planning to study 2000 kanji before leaving for Japan. So, with my self-study at home, do you think 6 month will be enough???
I want to stay in Japan for as long as possible TT_TT

Don't wait, just start learning it. I don't understand why someone would want to apply without wanting to know the language, sure the courses may be in English, but you are going to Japan. 6 months in my opinion is not enough if you are only starting and going for a non technical field... And self studying... I guess some people can do that well.
There is more to just learning kanji...

Good luck to you, hopefully you can improve your Japanese and really appreciate your time in Japan.
