THE BIRTH:
The Bouncer started off mixing & MC'ing over garage in 1996 for about two years, and throughout this time he listened to, but never tried to mix drum and bass. So when a friend brought over a bag of drum and bass records he had a go and thought yeah, this is all right. That weekend The Bouncer went to Movement @ Mass and had the best night he'd ever had (up till then) and has never gone back to garage music.
Around 1998 - 1999 The Bouncer started stocking up on his drum and bass collection. "I remember payday, I went out and spent over ﾂ｣200 on tunes and ever since then I have been feeding a ﾂ｣75 a week vinyl habit" he states. Lately The Bouncer has preferred to mix the newer/darker stuff ranging from Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow etc, but his tunes range from Outta Space to Messiah. He likes to vary his set and get the crowd involved, and loves dropping a vocal tune that the crowd can sing along to. The Bouncer has been known to tear dancefloors apart with his quick style mixing, and selection that puts A-list DJs to shame.
MID LIFE CRISIS
Four years later The Bouncer helped set up Ignition, a drum and bass night in South East London. It started off with just up & coming DJs and just one headliner DJ, and after 2 months the promotion decided to go bigger & better. They changed venues and got control of the main room. Which was headlined with some of drum and bass' finest i.e. Loxy, Kane, Friction to name but a few. The night did well and they decided to do another event with a one of the most versatile line ups the scene has ever seen, Tech Itch, Dylan, Bailey, Pendulum, Skibadee, Foxy,

For The Bouncer it has all mainly started to happen last year. He is a resident for 'Dekefex', one of the biggest drum and bass promotions, and also plays a weekly set at The Mass in Brixton. As well as Dekefex Bouncer has got his own Ignition Residents called the Ignition Soldiers. This year Bouncer had his 1st shot @ international stardom when he was booked for an event in Belgium, 窶倪?儺hat was one of the best crowds I have ever played to窶吮? quote from The Bouncer. In September 2004 The Bouncer got booked for the Sun & Bass festival in Sardinia, Italy of which consisted of artists from all over the world, of which Bouncer was very proud to have performed at their 1st event.
