Indie/ Alternative Bands

I've been trying to find some good J-Indie/Atlernative bands to listen to the help with my studying, I came across RadWimps and like their sound.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend something similar or some classis bands that any J-indie fan should listen to. For example, if I was to recommend classic Indie bands I would say Blur, Stone Roses etc.

In the same vein as RADWIMPS, there's the pretty popular BUMP OF CHICKEN.

Also, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, ART-SCHOOL, People In The Box, Shinsei Kamattechan, cinema staff, the cabs, Ling Tosite Sigure, Yura Yura Teikoku, Fujifabric, MASS OF FERMENTING DREGS, ANDYMORI, avengers in sci-fi, Kimonos, Nothing's Carved In Stone, Straightener, ACIDMAN, Asian Kung-Fu Generation

are all pretty good IMO.

The band "Eastern Youth" is pretty good is pretty good.

An old classic, certainly not "indie" but never on the radio (at least in the States), except for maybe on some college stations possibly back in the 90s, is the Boredoms. Not for learning Japanese or English even really. Just nice music
