I Won A Million!!!!

Hmmm, funny how my ideas of what I'd do changes since the thread up at the top last! 😊
I'd give a load of money to my mum so she can live comfortable. :-)
Then to my boyfriend, ditto. 😌
Then I'd set myself up with a dungeon and go pro. 😊
Not to mention all the music mixing equipment I'd buy! and a proper piano! and a Korg synth! and a... well, there we go... :p
 
I would have no idea what to do with the money, really. Probably first thing I would do was to buy a new jeep. :p

Money isn't important but surely it would be nice indeed :-)
 
I would buy a car, take on skiing vacation with my family. Then i would put the rest of them in a bank :-)
 
I would open a big Japanese mall in the Philippines. a sort of small japanese paradise. with big lights and stuff like that. fountains, big palmtrees, a lot of shops, restaurants, snackshops all in a japanese jacket, lol! (now im telling my future plans) (@_o')

I do think that you need more than a Million for that.

What currency would be good to have a million in? 1million yen is not that much (well, we got that from my parents in law last week as a gift that surely was a nice gift😊)
 
A million doller can do me so much that I wouldn't know what to do with it.

I'd divide it into three, give one to my parents and another to my in-laws, invest with the rest and buy a hotel room in Dubai when it's enough.

Well, I can always plant my own vegetables. Actually here in Okinawa the "average" yearly income is roughly half that amount so with regards to inflation I should be ok.

It is VERY easy to live here with an annual income of anywhere between $40,000 to $50,000 US. In fact I know many that do it on much less than that. Doesnt mean that they have all the luxuries in the world but they are comfortable.
 
If I got a million pounds... I would convert it to yen, and buy myself a small place to live (bare minimum). Then I can stop listening to the people around me that keep telling me that I need a uni degree or I'll become homeless.

But even with that kind of speed could u actually put it to use?? I mean, u can't drive on the expressway or any roads on that speed...😌

I think I would use the money to settle my education fees and leave the rest in the bank until I know what I want to do with it...:-)
 
Jeez, Iron Chef! With a monster like that, you'd have to move to Germany and drive on the Autobahn just so you can exercise that beast. Still, why spend that much if you don't have to? Mercedes-Benz's AMG models have over 500 horses for a tenth of the price tag. It's always best to spend wisely. Heh!

Well, firt, put €900.000 (in bonds, so I can't use that money for some years, and get interests at the same time) in a bank, while I'm studing in Uni and wasting €100.000.
Then, start my own business somewhere, and make more and more money :p

( I already promissed them that :p if I ever win :p Not that there is a chance( Explenation: My mom buys every month new lots I can chose wich I think is going to win. IF it wins something I get 10% Of it so if my mom wins 1 mil I would get 100.000 euro 😊 )
Verther I will live like I live today I geuss.. Maybe buy a horse but not much.. That is nothing for me. ( maybe I would pay less attention to the price of clothing.)
 
i would help my family and donate some to cancer research. Then, I would open a cafe and work on my writing.
 
Multiply the money, the Donald Trump way. Live large. Big money. Start in real state or something like that, start a business and enjoy life to the fullest... Find some way to invest money, get quick return and all being tax-free, baby. Man, I thank my dad for starting me up on financial ed. I seriously reccommend the Rich Dad Poor Dad books by Kiyosaki, best money advice you could get!

A million yen is about 8.5 THOUSAND dollars, or 4.25 thousand pounds.

A million yen wouldn't get very far :(
 
Invest 900 000 in the family buissiness and use the remaining 100 000 to pay a good privat teacher to teach me japanese,korean and mandarin.
And then go on a trip through asia.^^
 
If it was 1 million USD then I would buy land in The Republic of Georgia, about 20 acres or so and build a home there. Then invest the rest in a conservative money vehicle to build interest. Definitely wouldn't quit my job, a million dollars isn't much these days...

You'd probably lose the rest of it commuting from the Republic of Georgia to go to work in California.
 
I'll choose the million pounds.

Firstly I would buy a small house in the Lake District of the UK. Maybe 3 bedrooms but probably just 2. It would need be far enough out of the way that I can generally avoid all contact with people if I so wish. That is 250-300K gone.

I would buy a small sailing boat, 32-35 feet (used boat = £60K) And I would then go sailing around the world. I would start by crossing the Atlantic, but I would do this using old navigation techniques rather than GPS as I have always want to do that and keep the old skills alive. Probably head down to the caribbean and then around South America, stopping off to visit places on the way.

I think I would take a good 3 years of sailing before returning to real like. Hopefully I would still have a few hundred thousand left in the bank to invest.

Then I would probably go back to work, but find a new job or see if I can do my current job part time
