I need help.

I can't read a lick of Japanese, and I'm learning. I have the books to learn how to write it and read it, and I have the software to learn how to speak it. But I'm in no way saying that I don't want help...I can use all the help I can get!

My problem is, I need to "teach" my computer to write it. I have the fonts that were recommended elsewhere in this forum, but I can't tell if I'm writing/typing what I intend to. I don't know what it is I'm looking for.

Can anyone help?
