I can’t tell.

You're pointing to non-primary sources. It doesn't really matter what the Wikis say. Just because something is written there doesn't mean it's correct.
Yes because the Overwatch wiki, written by the Overwatch devs, I might add, is wrong about an Overwatch character. That makes lots of sense, dude.

It's written by a community of fans. Even I could go in there right now and change Mei's page.
Which of the editors in the history here are the original developers of the game?

Okay, that's the hero wiki, I said the OVERWATCH WIKI. The only reason I suggested that was because it tells the same thing as the Overwatch wiki does.

@mdchachi you cannot argue with me that Mei's page is wrong, because Its fact proven. (At least, the Overwatch wiki is, and even then, the other wikis tell pretty much the same story, maybe one or two differences.) Go check out the short YouTube video titled: "Rise and Shine" created by blizzard games (the creators of Overwatch) the Overwatch Wiki checks out with everything, from the Canon Lore to the literal gameplay, everything checks out.

Rise and Shine, the video about Mei.

I think you guys are talking past each other and missing the point, anyway. This thread was based on the premise that the character Mei is Chinese but @derekiscool thought she looked American. It's really not about whether or not she actually IS Chinese, but rather what she looks like she is.

I personally think she looks like she could be from most places in the world based on looks alone. Does she look like a stereotype? Not like any I'm aware of. That's a good thing.

Is she believable as an American? Absolutely. As a Chinese? You bet.

Ya, but my original point was that she doesn't look American, and asked people to tell what nationality they guessed for her. Not sure how this argument started, just asking a friendly question from your local stupid teenager.

I thought you said that she did look American, and you were surprised to find out that she is Chinese...?

Actually I thought he was talking about some Japanese-English translation that doesn't match either but now I realize it's a different thread. So nevermind.

Mei... is apparently Chinese.

I don't see it. ...I personally mistook her to be American until i figured out her name was
Mei-Ling Zhou, LOL.

So which is it? Why would you mistake her to be American if she doesn't look American to you? What am I missing?

You're probably thinking of this thread. Since both of them are based on Overwatch, it's easy to get them mixed up.

Sorry, typo, my original point is that she didn't look Chinese, not American, LOL. My bad.
