After 8 years I finally booked my flight to the Land of the Raising Sun...
From the 9th Of September to the 22nd of the same month, I'll land in Narita!
On of the first things is going to meet my "ex"Girlfriend who lives in Chiba and the other fixed point is going to meet my friend M the one I wrote about in the thread "In 7 years a Cursore story", for the rest I'll need your help to get the most out of Japan!

Go to the Travelling To Japan section over in Practical. You'll find plenty of info there.

Grats, its an experience you wont regret, no matter how it turns out. 👍

Japan in a sense acts as a ritual of comming of age, your totaly out there in an enviroment far from your own, it can really help you learn a bit more about yourself.

Also out of sheer curiosity, what is the meaning behind the " " around ex in ex-girlfriend?. 😌

Sorry, just sense an interesting story there.

One side of me really wants to be in Japan, the other is a bit scared, strange enough, I went to Cuba as soon I could travel on my own why should I be scared of Japan?

Anyways the "ex" is because we were togheter last year and now it is almost a year she is back without officially splitting up, so are we togheter or not I don't know, but for the way I am I don't think so.

You might still have some humidity with the heat. Hardly Scottish weather.

I doubt there will be snow in Japan in this period 😌 :p

You should be in Los Angeles. Last Saturday it was 119 in Woodland Hills and it was 90 at my house at 8:00 PM last night and 80 this morning at 6:30. This has been the hottest summer in (my) memory. On top of that, it is humid. One would think this was Florida or Alabama, not California!

Sounds like this trip will be very interesting both culturally and personally!! Lots of luck and wisdom on your trip!!

September is typhoon season! I am sure that you never experienced typhoons in su-ko-to-ran-do! But - don't worry there will be nice days in between - actually the weather is not too bad in september. Tokyo is allways one of the best places in the world! Enjoy!

Typhoon season goes from June to November, so don't let that stop you from going!

Never mind the typhoons, I'm made in Italy and shaped in Scotland, maybe I'll be refined n Japan.
As soon I have time I'll organise my trip and ask for guidance in the pratical session.

Yeah but you are overlooking something :) You might be able to stand the warm polluted heavy rains during a typhoon but think about everyone around you, your experience of being in Japan will be changed greatly from if you would have gone in a season like Spring or Fall where everyone is out and everyone is in a good mood and everyone isn't all sweaty and wanting to go home but then they are angry because their home is too hot, then they get drunk and alcohol is a depressent and then that just fuels their anger and your surroundings will most likely be pretty wrecked.

There is a way to change everything though heh, all you need to do is get as naked as possible without it being illegal and everyones frowns will be turned to smiles and your trip will be a huge success... works for me atleast during such seasons.

Scotland, where the temprature is hotter then Spain!.
Thanks to global warming the rain jokes are no longer applicable, though I yearn for a chill wind and a bit of cloud, I like cooooooooooooold!.

I like that saying.

I was made in England with a sprinkle of German and a sprinkle of Scottish, shaped in Scotland and Refined in Japan.
