Hi Jackyquah, hopefully someone with better Japanese will respond and also correct my Japanese but in the meantime a few points I can add are;
1. Fried chicken= からあげ。。。焼き鳥 is a little different being small pieces of chicken served on skewers usually cooked on charcoal burner.
私はご飯とか空揚げとか好きです the 好きです infers "likes to eat".
not like that, I do know about that form, but I would like to highlight/mention the category first than the example.
'I saw animals like cat, dog,etc'
not 'I saw cat,dog,etc'
私はご飯か焼き鳥と同じ食物をたべる。
This means "I eat rice or same food as yakitori".
Maybe ～のような would work.
I eat food like rice, fried chicken
私はごはんや唐揚げのようなものを食べます。
This is the closest I can think of, though as a Japanese sentence it sounds a bit awkward to me...
