How to say i am a student of college?

Do I say
私はnkuだいがく の がくせいです or 私はnkuだいがく で がくせいです. My textbook says the de is only used with verbs but google translate did something close to what I wrote with de, it might be something i haven't learned yet. Can you use de with desu at the end?

This is what google translated Watashi wa NKU karejji de gakuseidesu, not sure what karejji is, think its just another way of saying college.

Do not trust google translate. 私はNKUのがくせいです or 私はノーザンケンタッキーだいがくのがくせいです is correct.

で can be used with copula(だ / です) at the end of a sentence, but this で is the -te form of copula, not a particle.
e.g.
わたしはおとこで、NKUのがくせいです。
I'm a man and a NKU student.

Can you say add だいがく after nku like nkuだいがく assuming the person that you were talking to didn't know that nku is a college. Is it ok to say it that way? Ty for replying to my post also.

"U / University" means だいがく, so NKUだいがく sounds redundant as if you are saying "Northern Kentucky University University" (I guess NKU refers to it, no?). If you want to use NKU and you think the person you are talking to doesn't know what NKU means, NKUというだいがく is another option.
