How do you say Yes in Japanese?

This post just reminded me of something.

You'd think after 20+ years I'd have this figured out. There are many judging "reality" shows in the U.S. now where at the end the judges vote and say Yes or No.

Here's an example (since this is Japan-related, I'm using Kenichi's excellent audition from 2013):

If they imported this show to Japan, how would the judges vote verbally? Obviously hai and iie wouldn't work here. Is there a Japanese way to do Yes/No in this situation? I'm thinking they would end up using another language and say something like イエス and ノー or perhaps hold up a ○ or × sign.
 
Probably they will say 合格 or 不合格, or hold up ○ or × sign, yes.
