I need to delete my account. Please share the instructions.

If you do no longer want to use your account, simply refrain from logging on. In addition, we recommend you access your User Control Panel

and edit the following settings:

"Privacy"
"Preferences"
"Alert Preferences"

We do not delete member accounts unless they violate our Forum Rules

Just pure idle curiosity, but after five years of not posting and having posted anonymously when you were active.... why would you need to delete your account?

Last month we started to reach out to inactive members who posted in the past, inviting them to rejoin the forum. I assume the OP's request is related to the mailing. Facebook allows users to delete their accounts, so many seem to believe that applies to online fora as well, not considering the fact that the deletion of posts will result in inconsistency or even the deletion of entire threads.

Just to reiterate: we do not delete accounts!
