How acceptable are adult sex houses in japan?

I know japanese society is a tad bit more open in the sex area then America, but how acceptable is it go visit a sex house once in awhile in Japan? What I mean is, in america, it they are illegal most places and even the places they are legal, if you go there its VERY VERY taboo and you are likely not to mention it ever. Is it the same in Japan? Is sex houses also VERY taboo? Something you don't ever mention to anyone and you don't want to be seen going there? Or is it causual recreation activity for people?

I've heard a lot of young men go to sex houses all the time and its no big deal to people, but I'm not sure if I believe that.
 

Well, I won't say what I think about sex houses.
Since I'm a high school student, I've never heard people saying of actually going there. I still think many people don't mention it to others cause why would you want to? and who would want to hear it?

I'd say it's not as much of a taboo over there, but who would you want to talk about it?
Also, you might encounter some problems, I heard that some of these etablishments do not want to offer their services to gaijin
 
There no legal brothels anywhere in Japan like those in Nevada, USA or in many European nations. However, illegal brothels do exist in Japan under the guise of "massage parlors", there are no signs outside that indicate that they are brothels.

Who did you hear that from? Believe what you see and not what you hear.

Oh well, here in Germany I worked in some bad jobs for need of money & there are enough guys who brag about it. Don't know about Japan, but I suppose you'll find enough of such guys there, too.

Illegal but not really persecuted, if I'm correctly informed.
& there must be something recreational about it, else there wouldn't be company outings to visit brothels in China (as in Zhuhai) or other places.
 
There is such an organization as The North-American Man Boy Love Association ("NAMBLA"). ACLU even fights for its right to exist. Doesn't mean all North American males are pedophiles.

Other than in Nevada, prostitution is illegal in the U.S., but it exists in almost all cities. But it's not a casual recreational activity here. I don't see why it would be any different in Japan.

So, illegal brothels exist in Japan. Do all males go to them regularly? I DON'T think so.

They're too busy playing Pachinko.
 
hey i think if someone wants to make some money and it isnt harming anyone else then they should be allowed to do with anyone bothering them.

 
Ok from my trip to Japan, they do exist, no they are not popular/legal. BUT maybe you are confusing the hostess clubs/strip clubs, that allow you to touch and some give you blow jobs.. That is not illegal, and are pretty popular among business men that go to kabukicho.

They also, have the Hot Men's Box, things where you have pictures of girls everywhere on the walls, and you pick the girl and they bring you to her and you are in a hostess club environment, sometimes massage.
 
It's not so uncommon really. But it depends where you live. I don't go myself, but a few of my friends do from time to time. My friend who works for S*** (maybe I shouldn't say company name) was promoted recently and to celebrate his boss took him to a brothel.

Like that has ever stopped them. A lot of them have ladies on the side or like a second family.
 

I don't think BJs are available at these places. Unless you've been to one and had one and know for a fact.

There are also many "host" clubs where women go to pick out young male staff to sit and chat with and spend loads of money in a single night. I can't understand why any woman would want to do that. Men are pigs, so that's understandable but women? Now, there's a host club scheduled to be opened in LA.

If I was 10 years younger I would consider applying for a position.
 
I never got that either.. made for some interesting parody's on tv as well as boring drama shows
 
They seem pretty open about it as far as I can tell. I sometimes see "touch clubs" not far from schools and right next to "normal" places like family resturants or stores.
 
In any major U.S. city there are also "massage" parlors.

There's a few just blocks away from my house in Santa Monica, CA, and they've been in business for years.
