I'm a big fan of Studio Ghibli films and I found this interview of director Hiromasa Yonebayashi. I tried to read the article myself, but soon found out that my command of Japanese is not good enough. As far as I understand he tells about how he got interested in the project (When Marnie Was There) when producer Suzuki recommended the book to him.
