Hi everyone, my name is James, and I'm a freshman at Baylor University in Waco, TX. I'm taking Japanese as my foriegn language, and I would like to study abroad in Tokyo next year!
Probably like most of you here, I love many things Japanese, though I'm not very well informed about any one thing really. I've been watching a lot of anime lately, due to having so many friends give me recommendations on what to watch.
Youtube is great for anime lovers!:p

From the heart of Japan, Shinshu, I give you a big WELCOOME to Jref !! I hope you stick around, and join in with us in discussing the many things related to Japan. I'm sure you can learn some Japanese here too !!

A long, long time ago, I had a girlfriend who went to Baylor....wow...

Look forward to seeing you 'round !! 🙂

Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I've read a lot of posts around here.....You and that girl with the awesome eyes are the nicest greeters ever.

👍

I'm glad someone here has heard of Baylor, though!

Have i heard someone's talking about me? :p

However, hello baylor_student and welcome to jref! 🌹 You seem to be a nice guy so stick around and see you! 🙂

Thanks for the warm welcome!

You're very welcome Baylo_Student, and thanks for the compliment. People make the world go round, and being friendly is important, I think. See you 'round !! 🙂

ps: what is your major?

Welcome to my home.....I live in the chat,actually....I like to see new people in the chat, but sadly the chat is dying. Not many people come in anymore.too busy with their lives.I hope you lurk around the forums for a long time, because jref has some of the nicest people I know.Although I think we`re all a little bit crazy, but hey, at least we aren`t boring, lol.have a lot of fun and good luck with your studies.

I'm a new member also, in Los Angeles, but I grew up 25 miles south of Waco, and I will be going there tomorrow to visit my family, who live just north of Temple. I went to Temple High School and used to take a cousin at Baylor out to movies (She's one year older than I am).

I joined this forum to exchange information about Japanese food and recipes. I've been experimenting with Japanese pickles, but I also make sushi, tempura, and several other Japanese dishes. Fortunately, there is a Japanese supermarket (Mitsuwa) in my neighborhood, which makes it easy for me to get ingredients.

When I get back, I will introduce myself more formally.

Mars Man, I'm (currently) looking at a double major in International Business and Management....

Thanks for sharing, Baylor Student !! That looks like it should be a good major !! Keep up all the good study habits...and I'm sure you'll be successful !! MM
