Help with meaning of になってするる

Hi Guys,
What is the meaning or grammar behind になってする in the following sentence.
They are describing the game okurimono no gokko.
I don't understand the 組になってする part. Is it the verb なる to become?

贈り物のごっこはなかよしどうしが組になってする、ひみつのたのしい遊びでした。

It's just 組になる "to pair up/be partners with" + する, connected by the -te form for "and".
Isn't it 贈り物ごっこ (with no の), by the way?

Thanks toritoribesan it is just 贈り物ごっこ sorry about that. I didn't realise that 組になる was a set verb/phrase meaning to team/partner up. When I read 組 I though of class as in grade/class e.g 四組. That makes a lot more sense. Thank you.
