Hi, I need some help with translate a phrase for my homework.
The original sentence is: I went to the mountain with a Japanese man and woman.
So far, I have: 私は日本人の男の人と女の人と山に行きました。
And my friend's translation is: 私と日本人の男の人と女の人を山に行きました。
1. Are we using は and と correctly? I know that と connects 2 nouns, but I wasn't really sure how it would be used in this sentence, with more than 2 people.....
2. Should there be a particle を after 女の人? (from my friend's translation?)
note: This is just Japanese 101, so the kanji/grammar/vocabulary I used in the above is the only thing that I can use. Can someone please provide me with an explanation. お願いします。
