my first thought was arabic, but the part in the middle doesn't look like it. But I'm no expert in that language.

Could be something else, or just a decorative design or for a movie prop or something

Looks like Arabic or Farsi. I can only discern the number 57 (۵۷) engraved.

shows what I know, I thought that was the part that looked off cause I didn't remember seeing closed shapes in Arabic writing
