I was told this is a 17th-century OKimono of a turtle. Please help me translate.

Looks like 竹雲, turned 90 degrees clockwise. The second character is a little funky but I'm not sure what else it could be.

Unfortunately; I cant read your translation. Is there a English translation for the name? Apologies for my ignorance;-(

They're the kanji for "bamboo" and "cloud," respectively. Could be a signature?

Chiku-un would be my guess. There are some artists who used this name.

You have been extremely helpful. Thank you; my gratitude is boundless!
