Hello I am trying to identify the markings on the bottom of this beautiful porcelain bowl. I'm almost positive they are japanese and that the first two characters above the seal say "koto yaki" but thats as far as I have gotten.

Yes, someone who is very familiar with this stuff should be able to date this piece. Unfortunately I'm not that guy. If nobody on this site knows, you may have better luck asking on a forum specializing in this. Arita Yaki is a common type of porcelain. The "Ryu" maker seems a bit obscure. Not that I know, mind you, it just doesn't come up in any searches either in Japanese or in English. This site usually has a lot of good info, but it didn't help me with "Ryu".
Thank you very much I have been searching hard and can find nothing yet that says anything about the Ryu seal. I have found tons of arita yaki but nothing about the seal.
