Hoping to identify the history on this sword I bought at auction. It appears to be Japanese in origin and has engraving on the blade. It appears to be fairly old. The metal used as decoration appears to be silver. I have not exposed the tang to avoid damaging the handle. Thanks for any help you may give.

As Majestic-san already replied in your another thread, it wouldn't be a genuine Japanese sword or Japanese inscription.
