hello there everyone. uhmmm...introduction. well i'm a manga/anime lover! i love watching Japanese animations! I am in love with JRockers esp. Kaoru. Japanese music are awsome! I planned to learn Japanese by summer of 2007 so that i can study abroad in japan in the fall.
i want to travel travel and travel! meet everyone in the world. i'm a freshmen of college and majoring in photography, monoring in world history and cultural studies.
i am from the U.S. (though i should have said this first), but i am not american. i am hmong (asain culture). I lived in Michigan all my life but was born in Thailand....

uhmm...i'm kinda bad at introducing myself so i just hope to get to know some of you better and hope you guys know me better!

Heh, pardon me, I just had to say that. Welcome to the forum!

I've only encountered the Hmong in this book I read, quite good, actually. It was either Helen(a) Zia's Asian American Dreams or Frank Wu's Yellow, but they were both really good. I don't remember why the Hmong were mentioned (probably something about discrimination), but for some reason the name stuck. If you ever get a chance, be sure to look these books up!

heheh...ma cherie, yes, i agree the hmong language is a hard one to learn. i taught it to a few classmates and it wasn't that easy.
