Hi Everyone
I will soon be travelling to Japan for the first time as being sent by my employer/company on errands and was looking for advice on getting about on public transport, eating out and the culture. I will be placed in a hotel in Osaka but will be looking to travel up and down the country, I don't speak Japanese but I can smile babble and get by with a dictionary I think, God knows why they decided I was the best candidate to go:?
Hope to make some pen friends on here and make my journey and stay pleasant
I will be staying for 7 to 14days in Osaka but will be travelling around in that time, My main concern is getting lost and catching a train or bus to the wrong place and not knowing how to get back lol
Davey, So are you a local? how long you lived near osaka ?
As you know japan has one of the best if not the best transportation system in the world (except for the JR lines... kashi but they can be confusing so now and then. I always use Hyperdia | Timetable and Route Search in Japan. for time tables and to see to which train you should change. Where is your hotel, and where will you be traveling to during your stay in Osaka. If you need any help with planning just give a shout.
I have been living and working here for some years now, but I am still learning every day about the fascinating and strange things Japan has.
