I studied Japanese in high school for 3 years, went to Japan for 1 year after that where I became fairly fluent, then returned to finish my senior year of high school. After coming back to America in 2006, I haven't had the chance (read: motivation) to speak Japanese much, so I'm hoping that getting involved in some communities will bring my skills back. My end goal is to eventually be fluent enough to do freelance interpretation and translating work.
