Thank You All So Very Much !!!!!
All my dear and love-filled friends,
My heart pounds with the excitement of opening an elegantly wrapped birthday present, as the soul of happiness builds into the emotion of that tear that never quite leaves the eye. Of all the gifts I could have recieved those of you all, my friends, have proved the best !!
M chan and the boys did take me out for my B-day dinner (our family custom) the Thrusday before; it was a national holiday here in Japan. My sweet Aunt who lives in Arizona sent me a card which was nice. And, well, that's about it; but I had a regular day, and maybe I was easier on my students.
I did do my elbow exercises after I had gotten home, but not sake, just some of that good ole 12 year scotch. I sat and meditated in my Mars Man Landing (the studio which I built in the dozo) and thought about all that has been going down during the past year, and considered ways that maybe I could improve, or grow yet. I again vowed to myself to start painting again--it's been 12 years since I've been on the canvas, and I've gotta keep that touch up, and even improve it !!
As Rover and its partner snail along the vast, rock scattered dust bowl back home, I look at the photos, and realize that even when I feel lonely here on Earth, with friends like you all, why should I ever want to be anywhere else !!
