RockLee said:Did the though ever occur that he might have thought you wanted to be removed like some other members like MikeCash and Hachiro?I can't seem to find a reason why you should've been banned from Eupedia to be honest.
nurizeko said:Hateful: The link he quoted in his thread was nothing more then an insulting hateful rant against all Europeans.
I don't think Hachiro's post was hateful in its content. And it can't be a legitimate reason to ban a person based on his political view on things. It would be weird indeed to value posts according to the political content, be it pro-this or anti-that.Mike Cash said:Well, it isn't as though Americans haven't had to sit back and listen to a constant stream of the anti-American crap flowing from Europeans. That sort of thing is okay, though. But God forbid somebody makes a remark about Europe that Europeans don't like......
Hachiro is/was a woman, though, right ?nurizeko said:I spose theirs a grain of truth in that mike, my impression was the thread was flame-bait, it was made purely to goad a fire-fight.
Meh, Hach is gone anyway, I think he was banned for his response to the thread closure rather then the actual thread itself.
Back to proper threads people, nothing more to see here.![]()

Hachiro is a male name and he said his shoes size was 34cm or so
and his height is almost 2 meters.....
Didn't she sometimes talk about her (Japanese) husband, though ?ArmandV said:A-ha! Kyoko was taking his measure!![]()

It likely wasn't their real name in any case.![]()
Oh, sorry it was his wife....how embarrassing...hopefully he won't come back to read thisArmandV said:Uh, who was talking about whose husband? You lost me there.

OK, well this is starting to make a little more sense if insulting a continent, national group, race whatever with "coward!?" (or anything comparably denigrating) in the title of a thread is sufficiently inciting for a ban in itself. Which actually no doubt it would be if the subject matter was Japanese or Chinese....☝Duo said:Hachiro was banned beacuse he openly defied the moderation team...Maciamo was not involved in his thread at all..... and he continued to repost his thread in more violent way and clearly seeking provocation from other european members by insistantly calling their continent a coward and having no objective discourse in his argument whatsoever. Several members tried to respond objectively to his original thread but as expected it began to turn into sparks. Then he re-posted it in a way to instigate even more the european members on this board. He was looking for a fight, plain and simple.

JimmySeal said:There has been no mention so far of Hachiro having been warned, so it only stands to reason that he wasn't.
The two issues here seem inextricably intertwined then since the first one probably wouldn't have been deleted in the first place had it not been Europe related....Duo said:Personally i had no problem with him calling europe a coward...everyone is entitled to their opinion...i could care less.
However I do have a problem with thim coming back flaming a thread in more agressive manner so that he'd get a reaction to his instigation.
So if he had insisted on posting a completely positive upbeat thread with an article to share his love of Europe and European culture and thought it might be an easier place to live than Japan, was even considering moving there in the future etc...the same situation would have unfolded in exactly the same way ?Duo said:yes that was why the thread was originally deleted because it didn't belong in the japan section and we have been trying to keep a clear distinction between Europe and Japan related threads
