Why was he banned? Did he do some final post that just got everyone sick of him permanently? Considering that he's been around since 2006, even if he seemed to be a flame war inducer, it's a bit shocking.

I guess most members were more shocked at his constant display of racism and at the leniency he faced here than at the fact that he was permanently banned. Certainly, he will find another forum to express his contempt for Japan and to propagate his twisted theories of Han superiority.

Perhaps a reminder that hateful and racist people like him are not given a voice on this forum.

I was shocked as well. I don't know if his purpose was trolling or if he was just that messed up in the head, but he did not bother me so much and sometimes he did raise valid points.

But, without going into detail I will just inform you that this forum has changed. And frankly, you deserve a better answer to your question of why he was banned, but I believe it had something to do with the change, as does this thread being a sticky.

After we get several (and I do mean many) complaints and give several warnings and often talk with the member through private messages about changing their attitude , the ban hammer drops. Some people seem to think they are right and refuse to change even if the whole world tells them their way of thinking is wrong. I would think such a life of conflict , arguing and fighting with everyone , always being unhappy in relationships with people around you is difficult.

And history proves that sometimes the world is wrong and a handful of people are right.

I can vouch for being given every opportunity to adjust and fit in though.

I wonder though, were there actual times where he propagated hate towards someone or mindlessly swore at someone? I mean if he did stuff like that intentionally by all means he should be banned, but if he was banned simply because of his unpopular beliefs and his non traditional thoughts he should not be banned ( no matter how crazy or extremist they be). But I dont really know why he got banned but thats just my two cents on banning in general because alot of people misuse it on other forums ive been on.

Not only was the user in question banned on almost every other forum he'd ever joined, he was also given more chances to change his ways here on JREF than any other user before him. Our rules are quite specific in regard to racist and hateful remarks. He wasn't banned for his unpopular beliefs, but for his repeated violations of our rules.

That said I see know reason to keep this thread open for further discussion.
