I've been searching vigorously for a gym with fully padded gymnastics flooring so that I can train acrobatics (without breaking my neck). I live in Tokyo and my Japanese is... ok. But, maybe someone here who's Japanese is better than mine can help me find one via internet search.

Even just a gymnastics or acrobatic class (for adults) would be a big help.

If your office is close to the Hibiya park and you're interested in the iron bar, go to the park at your lunch break, and you can find many iron bar loving business people.

That sounds interesting, but I'm looking more for tumbling. Backflips, aerials, etc. I could always do it in the park, but there is the added danger of broken glass, slippery footing, holes, and whatnot.

How about making an inquiry at the ward office ツ(窶ケテヲ窶禿ーツ焦? kuyakushoツ) where you are working or living?
Usually some facility(窶佚戸?ァナ?テ taiikukan/gyminastic hall, ツ校窶凖ォ koutei/school ground, swimming pool, etc) is open to the public on weekends for the sports.
You have to apply for using it for a limited period of time in advance, but fee is quite low.
Terms and conditions varies depending on the ward but if 窶佚戸?ァナ?テ is available, it should suit for your practicing.
:-)

Thanks for the info. I looked up the public facilities near where I live and found a sport/recreation center in Gotanda. I will go check it out and see what they have, but I have low expectations. Hopefully, I'll be wrong. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks again.
