GIRI is a Japanese value that could be translated to something like "Duty", "Obligation", "Debt of Gratitude" or even "Burden of Obligation".

The purpose of GIRI is to maintain the GOOD HARMONY in Society.

It is defined as "to serve one's superiors with a self-sacrificing devotion"
BUSHIDO has lots of relation with this concept.

In this video, you will learn all aspects of GIRI 義理 and NINJYO 人情 as well as throughout history as nowadays.
